14-19 Months

Otters

Welcome to Otters! As your little one becomes more familiar with their world and is ready to explore off the floor, we are prepared to guide them through their new adventures.

...

Toddlers move into Otters around 14 months as they begin walking without assistance and move down to one nap a day. Otter teachers are excited to help your toddler explore outside of the classroom, and give extra attention to expand your child's imagination.

Otters continue to work on fine motor skills, begin to talk to teachers and friends, spend lots of time playing outside, and getting comfortable with a structured routine. Otters will eat snack in the early morning, followed by plenty of time to play outside (if weather permits). The rest of the morning is spent doing activities to promote development of fine motor skills and cognitive growth. After lunch, Otters will nap early in the afternoon, then eat a snack and do activities such as art, playing outside (if weather permits), sensory activities, and free play. Diapers are changed as needed at least once every two hours, and all updates to your child's day are posted on  the ProCare app.
